BillFect (“BillFect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information BillFect collects, how we use it, how it may be processed by service providers, how long it may be retained, and the choices available to you.
BillFect allows users to record meal items and quantities, photograph a receipt, and compare the recorded items and quantities with the receipt.
BillFect uses Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. When you sign in, we may process information provided through Google and Firebase, including a unique Firebase user identifier, your email address, basic account information, and authentication information needed to verify your session.
BillFect does not receive or store your Google account password.
When you use BillFect, you may provide names of food, drinks, or other meal items, quantities, and information entered manually or through voice input. This information is used to provide BillFect's functionality.
When you request a receipt comparison, the receipt image you provide is transmitted to BillFect's backend for processing.
The receipt image and recorded meal information may be processed by an artificial-intelligence service provider in order to perform the requested comparison.
BillFect does not use receipt images for advertising and does not intentionally store receipt image files in its long-term account database after processing is completed.
If you use voice input, microphone input may be processed by speech-recognition services available on your device or platform. BillFect uses the resulting text to help create meal items and does not intentionally store raw voice recordings on its backend.
If you purchase a BillFect package through Google Play, BillFect may process and retain information necessary to verify and manage the purchase, including the product identifier, purchase status, purchase completion date, entitlement status, usage information, and cryptographically protected identifiers used to prevent duplicate or unauthorized use.
Payment-card information and payment credentials are handled by Google Play. BillFect does not receive your full payment-card details.
BillFect may process limited technical information required to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the service, including request status, processing time, cache status, application or backend version information, sanitized error categories, and usage or quota information.
Our production logging is designed to avoid recording receipt contents, meal-item text, authentication tokens, passwords, purchase tokens, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

BillFect uses an external artificial-intelligence service to assist with receipt interpretation and comparison.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, protect users, maintain entitlement integrity, prevent fraud or duplicate processing, and satisfy legal or accounting obligations.
BillFect currently limits completed meal history to the three most recent completed meals.
Certain successful comparison replay information may expire approximately 24 hours after creation and may be deleted asynchronously thereafter.
Some minimal transaction, entitlement, anti-duplication, security, accounting, and audit records may be retained for longer when necessary to preserve the integrity of the service or comply with applicable obligations.
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by BillFect, including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, restricted service identities, least-privilege permissions, protected secret management, server-side purchase verification, and sanitized production logging.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to minimize unnecessary access, storage, and exposure of user information.

When a valid deletion request is completed, BillFect will delete or anonymize personal data associated with the account, except for limited information that must be retained for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, security, purchase disputes, accounting, legal obligations, or prevention of duplicate purchase or entitlement abuse.

BillFect is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children except where permitted by applicable law and Google Play requirements.
BillFect uses cloud and technology service providers that may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
